Saks Fifth Avenue Opening at Brookfield Place
The Financial District was invaded by fashion and art during the opening of the new Saks Fifth Avenue at Brookfield Place. Of course, no event is complete without a little fashion illustration by Chic Sketch. Tons of excited guests lined up and posed to get their own custom made sketch by Lead-Fashion Illustrator and Co-Founder, Emily Brickel Edelson. It was great to connect and share Chic Sketch with amazing people and experience the growth of Saks Fifth Ave.
Home to designer brands like Diane Von Furstenberg, Hermes and Burberry, Brookfield Place offers quality shopping along with breathtaking views of the Hudson River. Attached to the shopping center is Westfield Mall where we celebrated the grand opening of Kate Spade back in August. We will be hosting another event with Pandora this October. Tommy Carnival
What’s a carnival without a ferris wheel, tons of food, and a whole lot of Tommy? Deviating from the norm, Tommy Hilfiger outdid himself and created an experience by converting Pier 61, located at the Seaport Studios, into his very own carnival. Tommy Pier had free mani’s, temporary tattoos and of course, great clothing. The classic American designer collaborated with one of fashion’s new “It Girls” Gigi Hadid, reviving the iconic brand. Guests were able to purchase looks right off the runway, creating an instant retail gratification.
Harper’s Bazaar Icons
Topping off the list of Fashion Week celebrations was the Harper’s Bazaar Icons soirée. Held at the Plaza Hotel, we were surrounded by celebrities and fashion industry professionals.The glamorous annual event celebrated the Icons issue of Bazaar Magazine created by the one and only Carine Roitfeld. A performance by the Bazaar Icon himself, Kanye West was the highlight of the night. Camera crews filming the hit show “Keeping Up with The Kardashians” caught the famous clan as the swarmed Mr. West on the dance floor.
